The UCLA Health System is asking for support to help heal the minds & bodies of our wounded war Veterans. More help is needed to offset the cost of the surgery for many of these Vets. The average cost for surgery for these men is well over $500k.
Operation Mend
Last year, West Coast Customs & other gearheads gathered to build & auction Project Camo Camaro, which went for $333,000.00 in October, 11.

Many, MANY thanks to all of our Vets!

A veteran (from Latin vetus, meaning "old")[1] is a person who has had long service or experience in a particular occupation or field; " A veteran of ..." .[2]...refers to military veterans, i.e., a person who has served or is serving in the armed forces, and has direct exposure to acts of military conflict, commonly known as war veterans...

VETERAN who serves under the Flag.
GRANT THEM ETERNAL REST AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

What a SCREAM!
A few clever stinkers at Fiat have
red-faced the VW management by using the doorway of their very own corporate HQ as a billboard for Fiat's new 500.
I'm sure it was just coincidental that the Google Street Scene camera car was in the neighborhood.

We lost one of racing's & rodding's greatest legends this week. He won LeMans in '59 as a driver & '66 & '67 as a team owner with Ford. He was a natural as a driver & won many sports car races before turning to manufacturing, where he stunned America & the world with his iconic Cobras. Ol' Shel, as he was known, lived on borrowed time for over 50 years after doctors made him quit racing because of a bum ticker.
Shelby's 2nd passion was his charitable work. During his time in ICU, he was deeply bothered by the kids he saw dying as they waited for transplants, so he started the Carroll Shelby Heart Fund (now the
Carroll Shelby Foundation) to raise money or youngsters in desperate need of transplants. Scads of parents sent him pictures of their kids named Shelby. Shelby's LA office was wall papered with hundreds of photos. Older kids benefit from the Carroll Shelby School of Automotive Technology, located at the Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, not 20 miles from the racer's birthplace.
We're gonna miss this tuff ol' Texan & his big ol' heart.
