Singlefinger Speed Shop to Invade Detroit Autorama

2009 Detroit Autorama Extreme, is the Singlefinger Speed Shop Car Club's 1st formal event!!!

After a bunch of BS'n & a few beers, we've decided it's time to introduce ourselves to everybody in Detroit by setting up a club display at the show. It's like our own version of the inaugural ball. We are still in the planning stages for our display, but it promises to be pretty freakin' impressive!

We will have the Singlefinger Special on display along with 3 of our pals. Our bud's Corey, Martyn, & Todd are all working to get their cars ready for the big show in March. Here's a snapshot of each of the hot rods that will be in our display:

It looks like we'll have a KILLER display for the show! I'm going to keep most of the details quiet about our display, but we will have a cool looking sign to show everybody where we are!

The Singlefinger Car Club display is finally going to get assembled next weekend out in Fenton, where we'll do the final detailing.

Anyone interested in lending us a hand, give a call & come on out. We'll be off M-23 & White Lake Rd.

I got the sew-out for the new jackets & it looks freakin' great, but the pinstripes below the name still have to be added. The 1st order of the jackets will be done in about a week, so everybody in the display will get one to wear.

I want to thank everybody that's been working so hard to make our "top-secret" display a bind-boggling success!

A few weeks ago, Todd & I designed the display, where I leaned on his considerable talent in the matter! Tfee has a lot of experience in set designs for auto shows & such.
Martyn & Tommy helped me fab the bones of the display a couple of weekends ago.
It was all hands on deck this weekend, when we did the initial set up to see how it looked. WOW!!! (THX Jeff for loaning us your barn to work out of the snow)

After multiple trips to Lowes, Home Depot, my old shed, the shop rafters, & even some garbage picking, the display is finally done! It looks so freakin' awesome!

Keenerwak & I finished the last of the detailing yesterday & we broke it down to get it out of Jeff's pole barn, before we overstayed our welcome. (THX Jeff for letting us use your shop for a week)

Thanks to Remodl, it's sitting safely in an enclosed trailer waiting for move in day.

We have scheduled a few events for the show to introduce ourselves to everybody.

3pm Fri, Sat, Sun - H.A.M.B. "Meet & Greet".

6-10pm Sat - John Harrow (pinstriper/ artist) and model Jessica Danley will host a body art exhibit.
John will be adding his licks to any purchase of Singlefinger merchandise.

John & Jessica will be at the 2009 Detroit Autorama on Saturday night.

4pm Sun - Meet Kara G, our lovely spokesmodel.

Kara G goes to her 1st Autorama on Sunday afternoon.

Martyn & I spent a cold, crummy Saturday afternoon & got started on the speed shop.

With a bit of help from Tommy, we made good progress the 1st weekend!

Todd's an engineer & an artist, a rare combo!

Since Tommy owns a construction company, his talents were greatly appreciated!

There are still a couple details to be added yet. like the quartet of old farm lights that Jocko donated. They will hang off the top of the building to illuminate the name. The display window needs to be done. Etc.
