Hybrid Hot Rod Burns Down the (ware)House

20 11 10 - 16:41

Neal young has been a ardent advocate of hybrid cruisers. So much so, that he put over $250k into his 1959 Lincoln rag-top, making it the hot rod world's 1st hybrid sled. It seemed like a simple equation, take an old car, add a gas turbine generator, exotic battery technology, & viola!

Apparently, the only issue that never got fully addressed had to do with the vast amounts of heat that gets created during the charging of the batteries in these kinds of vehicles. Hybrid batteries are like Goldilock's porridge. They don't like to be too hot, they don't like to be too cold, but only want to be "just right". When you're re-charging the battery in a hybrid vehicle, a LOT of heat can be generated in the process. Belmont-San Carlos Fire Marshal Jim Palisi believes that's the culprit behind this headline: Neil Young warehouse blaze started in hybrid 'LincVolt' car by Joshua Melvin.

Both devices are expected to come out with the latest Android M out of the box which is currently under development but should be good to go if the two are to be released as scheduled in the coming Fall.

When combining any Air Jordan with Carolina Blue like Nike has done with the Air Jordan 11 Low, it’s a foregone conclusion that the shoe will be a wild success and likely sell out within three or four minutes of its official release.
